The Mrida Evam Khad Swaraj initiative is designed to enhance agricultural sustainability, empower rural women, and foster self-reliance among farmers. By improving traditional farmyard manure using scientific advancements and promoting women’s leadership, the initiative addresses challenges like rising input costs, soil degradation, and rural economic inequity.
KEY OBJECTIVES
The Mrida Khad Swaraj initiative aims to enhance agricultural sustainability, empower rural women, and promote self-reliance among farmers. The Soil and Manure Swaraj initiative tends to improve the nutritive potential of soil utilizing scientific tools by applying traditional practices. These practices will enhance capabilities of women's leadership and also addresses challenges such as rising input and production costs, soil degradation, and rural economic inequality.

Scientific Enhancement of Manure
Enrich farmyard manure with rock phosphate and biofertilizers to boost soil fertility and crop productivity while reducing chemical fertilizer dependence.

Women’s Leadership
Train women to manage compost production and cooperatives, fostering economic independence.

Agricultural Self-Reliance
Reducing input costs and enhance agricultural outputs for sustainable livelihoods of 12000 women farmers.
RELEVANCE TO SUSTAINABILITY
The initiative aligns with district goals of improving agricultural productivity, empowering women economically, and promoting sustainable farming practices. It supports schemes like the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and Soil Health Card Scheme.
Community Mobilization and Training

Compost Pit Construction
Build pits at farms and community hubs with validated designs and provide raw materials like rock phosphate.
Enhanced Compost Production
Train participants to prepare enriched compost with proper techniques.

Distribute compost, train farmers on its application, and monitor soil health and crop productivity.
